Unlike formats which are purely about fitness: Nia’s teaching model is holistic, mindful, and experiential. Teachers first practice self-care and awareness before guiding others, going beyond choreography or repetitive steps.
The Nia library of routines (music tracks, moves and class focus topics) which include guidance that circles back to your foundation training then becomes your pathway into teaching along with mentorship & our 'step into teaching' SHARE follow-on program, included with the course.

Teachers access a Nia library of "routines" — a routine includes a set of music tracks, moves, somatic insights, class focus topics and also guidance that circles back to your foundation training.
Routines then becomes your pathway into teaching along with our core curriculum teacher-only website, mentorship & our 'step into teaching' SHARE follow-on program, included with the course.

If you'd like to explore whether Nia training is right for you, start with the UK dates or ask a question.
We also have a selection of scheduled discovery classes for you - these are regular Nia classes - zoom and in studios - where you join the teacher's regular students to experience a Nia class, and then stay on after to talk with the teacher or teacher/trainer about Nia training and all things Nia. (HINT: that could take a while! 😂)
They are just the cost of a standard class but the teacher or trainer has reserved the time to speak to you after. It's a great way to assess if Nia is for you and have a lovely movement treat into the bargain!
If you'd like to explore whether Nia training is right for you, start with the UK dates, come to a discovery class, or ask a question.
Our discovery classes are regular Nia classes on Zoom or in-person. You join the class, then stay on afterwards for an informal conversation with the teacher or trainer about training and next steps.
They cost the same as a standard class, with extra time set aside for your questions. Barefoot is best but not essential, and people of all ages and abilities take part in — and teach — Nia.
